Sea SA and Sea SA Getaways will reluctantly suspend sale of all cruise-drive holidays packages until mid-2010.  This is due to temporary disruption of all Wallaroo-Lucky Bay ferry services after plans to charter an interim ferry following the sale of Sea SA's ferry in August collapsed, when the charter vessel was unexpectedly withdrawn from the market.

This is a great loss, as 'cruising the heart of South Australia' has become such an integral part of the travel and tourism experience between the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas.  However, please be assured, we will be back-  better than before in 2010! 

Sea SA, the parent company of Sea SA Getaways, has already invested some $6 million over the last 5 years in ferry terminal facilities at both Wallaroo and Lucky Bay, and has plans for much more to come.  We have invested considerable time and money in training our staff and marketing our ferry service and cruise-drive holiday packages, over the last 3 years, laying a strong foundation for our return.

Sea SA has worked closely with a wide network of tourism businesses to actively promote the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas across Australia via the Sea SA Getaways brand, and has succeeded in helping local tourism and related businesses to flourish and prosper. 

We greatly appreciate the loyalty and patience of all our customers, who continue to support us with messages of encouragement.  We have always believed in giving back to the people who support us, and as such, Sea SA has donated more than $150,000 in cash and kind over the last 3 years alone to not-for-profit and community groups on both the Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas.  Rest assured, we will extend the use-by dates on all current donated Sea SA vouchers until June 2011, to take into account the current suspension in services.
